Health Guarantee
Health Guarantee and Returns for Shih Tzu Puppies
We are dedicated to providing you with a healthy, happy, and well-adjusted Shih Tzu puppy. To give you peace of mind, we offer a comprehensive health guarantee covering key areas:
Genetic Health
As a responsible breeder, all of our breeding dogs are carefully screened for common genetic conditions found in Shih Tzus, such as eye disorders, patellar luxation, and heart issues. We guarantee that your puppy will be free from these inheritable conditions for 1–2 years after purchase. If a covered genetic condition is diagnosed during this period, we provide options for resolution, including a replacement puppy, a refund, or reimbursement for reasonable veterinary expenses.
Congenital Health
In addition to genetic conditions, we guarantee that your puppy will be free from any congenital defects affecting vital organs such as the heart, liver, or kidneys at the time of sale. This guarantee generally lasts 12–24 months, and if a serious congenital issue arises, we will work with you to provide a suitable resolution, including replacement or refund.
Veterinary Examination
We strongly recommend that all new owners have their Shih Tzu examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of arrival. This ensures a thorough health assessment and identifies any immediate concerns. If significant health issues are found, you may return the puppy for a full refund or exchange.
Vaccinations and Deworming
Before your puppy goes home, they will be up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming treatments. Documentation of all preventative care is provided, giving you confidence that your puppy is protected against common diseases.
Ongoing Support
Even after your puppy joins your family, we remain available to offer guidance on nutrition, training, grooming, or any health questions. Supporting our puppies and their families is part of our lifelong commitment to their well-being.
Returns
We want every placement to be a positive experience. Our policy includes:
- Immediate Concerns: If your puppy is examined within 72 hours and a serious health or congenital issue is identified, you may return the puppy for a full refund or exchange for another puppy.
- Genetic Conditions: If your puppy develops a covered genetic condition within the 1–2 year warranty period, you may choose a replacement puppy, a refund, or reimbursement for veterinary treatment.
- Change of Mind: If within 10 days you feel the puppy is not the right fit, you may return the puppy for a full refund, provided they are in good health.
- Behavioral Concerns: If behavioral issues arise that cannot be resolved with guidance, we can work together to find a solution, which may include returning the puppy and offering a partial or full refund based on the circumstances.
